We head South with the longest stage,so far.

Screen Shot 2013-08-16 at 22.44.04The riders travel 205.9km from Almendralejo to Mairena del Aljarafe.

Screen Shot 2013-08-16 at 22.45.16Another relatively easy day awaits the riders, but a breakaway might just fancy their chances.

Screen Shot 2013-08-16 at 22.46.18The road into the finish has a difficult turn at 1.5km to go,and another with just under 1km to go.A good lead-out is essential.

Screen Shot 2013-08-16 at 22.47.54Another small uphill finish awaits and I would think that this will also be a mass sprint, however, the sprint teams have been very poor during the Vuelta.I have no confidence in them being able to set up a sprint.

With the mountains coming tomorrow, the GC teams will want a rest,so a breakaway might just have a chance today. It will really depend on who’s in the break.

With a few corners in the run-up there is another chance of a strong rider getting away from the peloton.

I have no recommended bets for today.
