Screen Shot 2013-08-17 at 13.38.21There will be a lot of tired legs in the peloton and we have another tough end to a stage.

The climbs are 6.3km at 4.6%,3.4km at 4.8%(uncategorised) and 3.6km at 6.2%.

The battle for polka dots is really hotting up and today should see another battle between Nicolas Edet and Amets Txurruka.Edet is on 37 points and Txurruka on 22.The cat 3 climbs have 3 points on offer and the final climb has 6.I would expect to see both riders in the break fighting for these points. As I’ve got Edet to win and each way on Txurruka I’ll be more than happy to see the Spaniard pick up a few more points.

Screen Shot 2013-08-17 at 13.42.53The climb is 5km long, but the hard bit is the final 3km,with an average of 8%

With Horner only sitting 3 seconds behind Nibali I think we’ll see him wait until stage 20,so a break should have a great chance of staying away. The first half of the race is along the coast and it’ll be very interesting to see if any of the teams want to create echelons and put a GC rider in trouble.

This is the last chance for a lot if riders to win a stage so I would expect a crazy opening to the stage.Riders for the break are:

Mollema,Tanner,Edet,Txurruka,Cherel,Peterson,Ulissi,De Greef,Pauwels,Meier,Henao,Uran,Cataldo,Flecha,Hoogerland and Majka.

Here is what Belkin DS Merijn Zeeman said about the stage, “Bauke and David can win the stage tomorrow. We’ll do everything to get them in the mix for the win. The final is quite explosive, which suits our men.”

Due to this I’ve went for David Tanner. He isn’t quoted by the bookies, but you’ll find him on betfair.I managed to get 500/1 on him!

This is what Bauke Mollema said,“Today, it became clear early on that the break was going to make it. At that point, none of us had much to gain. I saved energy so I can go all out again tomorrow.”

I’ve also backed Mollema!
