2024 Women’s Tour Down Under Stage 2 Preview

Glenelg > Stirling 104km

The second stage of the race sees the riders heading for Stirling, home of the devilish lap circuit which has featured in the men’s race for over a decade, I remember a very young Michael Matthews winning here way back in 2011. This stage is 104km, the longest of the race, and features three laps of the circuit. Last time the women were here it was 2020 and Ruth Edwards (née Winder) took the win from Liane Lippert. It’s an important day in the GC battle.
