2591m in just 129km, in January, at the end of 6 stage race, I can see why the organisers have stuck with this stage. Last year, Yates, Vine and O’Connor snapped the elastic very close to the finish, with Yates winning the sprint. Just behind them was a group of 15 riders, most finished only 6 seconds behind the winner. In that group was Bryan Coquard, it is possible for a fast man to survive, but they need to be climbing very well.
