My first thought when looking at the route for this year’s Tour de Romandie was, is that it? Okay, the organisers have stuck with tradition and have a prologue and ITT, which always baffles me. I don’t see the need for both in a six-day race, but maybe that’s just me. For the GC riders, it’s going to be hard to make big differences. The Queen stage ends with a relatively easy climb, and the other GC day is very easy and then a climb at the end. Of course, the riders make the race, hopefully they can come up with something as I think this looks like a boring edition.
