Short, even by prologue standards. I can live with that, what I’m not pleased about are all those corners, I count 12 that are 90 degree turns. This is a bonkers route for a 2.3km battle against the clock. Bike handling skills are the most important factor, this is where the stage will be won or lost. We have a handful of prologue specialists here; it really is a niche discipline. Think track rider, with a hint of sprinter.
