Perth > Perth 177km
Have you missed me? I know I’ve missed you. Road cycling is back, and first up is the Aussie Road Race. They’ve gone and moved it from Ballarat, all the way over to Perth, and have produced a route which should keep the sprinters happy. Some of these guys have moaned their faces off for years about how unfair the route is for them, the funny thing is, most of them haven’t bothered to come to this race anyway! The move to Perth has a big impact, it’s a long way to go for most of the riders, which is why there’s only around 70 taking the start line. The route doesn’t look good to me, but weirdly, it might produce a more exciting race compared to usual. I don’t like change, but I’m happy to give this route a chance.
