Today was a demonstration by Almeida, taking back a sizeable chunk of time on GC, allowing UAE to rest easy tonight. Stage 5 is the hardest in the race with almost 3800m of climbing, so it’s another chance for GC riders to take swings at each other, but the break will also sniff a chance of taking the win.
