Dogliani > Acqui Terme 179km The 109th edition of this old race, it was won by Neilson Powless in 2024, I still haven’t worked out how he managed to hold off the chasing peloton. The route is different, but it’s still one for the climbers.
2025 Tre Valli Varesine Preview
Busto Arsizio > Varese 198km In terms of length and elevation gain, it’s a relatively hard race, but in reality, it’s a very demanding race. Constantly up and down, there’s hardly any rest periods and that’s why it’s usually very selective.
2025 Binche – Chimay – Binche Preview
Binche > Binche 204km One final chance to get your fix of cobbles before a long, dark winter. This is the 38th edition of the race, one that is usually won by a sprinter, even though it’s not always a sprint.
2025 European Championship Men’s Road Race
Privas > Guilherand-Granges 203km Just one week after the world championships road race comes the Euro version. The route is more than a nod to the Faun-Ardèche Classic and looks like a rematch between Pogačar and Evenepoel, with a side of Vingegaard. That’s right, you get the chance to see the rarely spotted one-day Dane, in the last three seasons, this is just his 2nd one day race.
2025 Giro dell’Emilia Preview
Mirandola > San Luca 199km Giro dell’Emilia, one of the most beautiful races on the calendar. Back in the day, it was normally raced by smaller teams, but in recent years it’s been full of the biggest names in cycling. This year, the Euros have stolen several of the top European talents, but the start list still looks strong to me. The organisers of the race always tinker with the first section of the race, mainly due to switching the start town on a regular basis. This year, they’ve gone for an easier approach to San Luca, followed by 5...
2025 Sparkassen Münsterland Giro Preview
Stromberg >Münster 194km One of the final opportunities for the sprinters in 2025. Philipsen, Kooij and Cavendish have won this race in previous years, two of those riders are back to see if they can win a second title. The route looks a little easier than previous years, with the same lap circuit which is regularly used.
2025 Euro Championships Men’s ITT Preview
Loriol-sur-Drôme > Étoile-sur-Rhône 24km ITT Coming straight the world championships comes the Euros, I’m not sure this is where it should sit in the calendar, but that’s not up to me. The riders are down in Valence, in the south-east of France, hopefully we’re in for a tight time trial.
2025 World Championships Men’s Road Race Preview
Kigali > Kigali 271km The big one is here, the men’s road race in Kigali. Can Remco become the first man in history to do the ITT/RR double? Can Pogačar win consecutive road race titles and join the likes of Alaphilippe, Sagan and Bettini? Will we see a surprise winner? Weather It looks like rain showers in the morning, which should dry up as the day goes on. The temperature will be 28 degrees, the rain should help those who don’t like the hot/humid conditions. Key Points The race begins with 9 laps of this circuit, before heading out to...
Previews in 2026
As the 2025 season draws to an end my mind starts wandering to next year. Previews will continue to be behind a paywall and the cost will be £60 for the full season, but £50 if you sign up before the end of the season, they do not auto renew. Thanks again for all the support.
2025 Tour de Luxembourg Stage 5 Preview
Mersch > Luxembourg City 176km The final stage of the race is the usual one in Luxembourg City. It ends with a very tricky lap circuit which has two challenging climbs, it’s usually a very exciting stage to watch.
