2025 Women’s TDU Stage 1 Previewcyclingmole

Brighton > Snapper Point 102km The race kicks off with a stage which suits the sprinters. With just three stages in the race, the GC riders have to always be on their guard, but this should be an easy day for them. There are two intermediate sprints, which shouldn’t really be contested by the bunch, but you just never know.

2025 Aussie Road Race Preview

2025 Aussie Road Race Previewcyclingmole

Perth > Perth 177km Have you missed me? I know I’ve missed you. Road cycling is back, and first up is the Aussie Road Race. They’ve gone and moved it from Ballarat, all the way over to Perth, and have produced a route which should keep the sprinters happy. Some of these guys have moaned their faces off for years about how unfair the route is for them, the funny thing is, most of them haven’t bothered to come to this race anyway! The move to Perth has a big impact, it’s a long way to go for most of...

It’s been an amazing year, the first one where I’ve charged for my previews. I’ve written 300 previews, hopefully you’ve enjoyed them, and they’ve enhanced your cycling experience. 2025 will be the same, and the pricing structure will remain the same. £40 for the whole season. £30 just before the Giro. £20 just before the Tour. £10 just before the Vuelta. Thanks again for all the support.

2024 Il Lombardia Preview

2024 Il Lombardia Previewcyclingmole

Bergamo > Como 255km The 5th and final monument of the season, Il Lombardia gets a hard time from many observers, but I love this race, it’s got a little bit of mystic about it. Yes, it’s the end of the season and many riders are on their knees, but this is a beautiful old race, one that’s full of character and charm. Pogačar is back, he’s going for his 4thconsecutive win, and most of the peloton have endured sleepless nights in the lead up to this one. Is it possible to beat the great man? Recent heavy rain has forced...

2024 Tre Valli Varesine Preview

2024 Tre Valli Varesine Previewcyclingmole

Busto Arsizio > Varese 198km There’s been some rainy editions of this race before, but this might take the biscuit. So close to Lombardia, some will question whether or not to take the start, is It really worth crashing or picking up an illness? I’m a bit disappointed with the weather, this is a race I love and its in danger of being turned into a farce. There’s meant to be heavy rain overnight, hopefully there’s no flooding and the race can actually take place as planned, I doubt we’ll get much TV coverage.

2024 Coppa Bernocchi Preview

Legnano > Legnano 174km There’s a busy week ahead in the north of Italy culminating with Lombardia on Saturday. Riders dip in and out of these races, the best teams careful select which races suit their riders and plan accordingly. Last year, a group of 9 riders escaped the peloton in the hills and stayed away until the end, with Wout Van Aert winning the sprint. How will this year play out?
