Last year, Magnus Cort produced one of the finest victories I’ve ever seen in my life. A strong group of riders escaped after the intermediate sprint and were frantically chased by the peloton. They were eventually caught just at the final turn, with 450m to go, but Cort decided to launch his sprint just after he went through the bend. To the amazement of all, he blasted up the little incline to take a stunning win, one to tell the grandkids about. This year, it’s probably going to end in a sprint.
