The final stage before the first rest day and the race is now down in Naples, we were here last year, Mads Pedersen took a thrilling win, just catching De Marchi and Clarke in the final kilometre. It’s a long stage, 214km isn’t to be sniffed at, and with a demanding final 40km, not all the fast men will be in the peloton come the end. It’s also a stage that will interest a late attacker, the roads in this part of the world can be technical.
