Bruges > Oudenaarde 269km For me, the best one-day race in the world. It’s the mixture of cobbles and climbs that does it for me, it’s such a gruelling day out for the riders. 269km in length and features 2167m of climbing, the last 50km usually sees most riders out on their feet, this is when the cream rises to the top.

Roeselare > Waregem 185km After last year’s horrific crash, the organisers have removed the section of road where the big crash happened, which in turn means the removal of Kanarieberg and the introduction of Eikenberg. It’s a race where you look at the profile and think it should be a sprint, but the reality is very different, it’s not been a sprint since Jens Debusschere won in 2016.

Harelbeke > Harelbeke 209km The late withdrawal of Pogačar has caught a lot of people napping, especially those who wrote/recorded their previews too early! The absence of Pogi has a huge impact on the race, one I’m looking forward to digging into.

Viladecans The Style Outlets > La Molina 219km The start of the GC battle. The finish, La Molina, has been used countless times in this race, but the organisers have tinkered with what comes before it. Using Coll de la Creueta as the penultimate climb increases the difficulty significantly, this is the same finale, which was used in 2023, and it created relatively big gaps. It was also used in 2018, with even bigger gaps between the top 10. Nearly 220km and over 5000m of climbing, this is going to be a very demanding day.
